Hello friends, I have a doubt about the installation of my project.
I’m thinking about installing a tower of 24 meters high, and use a RB-433AH with 1 Mikrotik R52H for point-to-point and 2 Ubiquiti XR2 for internet distribution, but my question is this:
The network cable can support consumption 3 mini pci cards at this point of the tower or should I send the power to the RB-433AH with a separate cable?
Sorry for my translation, I’m Latino.
can u fit in 2 xr2 and one r52h on 1 board?
xr2 is a very noisy setup. putting them in 1 box gets more noisy so if u have too much noise ur clients become deaf
ur cpe can get good signal over long distance but lower stability bad throughput
I have seen lesser noisy cards like r52 work better.
what would be your recommendation friend, I am a beginner in this matter.
thanks..
MIKROTIK R52 I said. Also u can try Alfa or Ubiquity SR2 or dbii f20.
If u have made purchases try regulatory domain and fixed card rates which u may lower.
but still 2 xr2 & an r52H is not good for 1 board 1 box. probably wont fit in. check for the power supplied to these card by the 433ah. it will not be sufficient for all 3
Also if u r targeting more clients I will suggest one card one board in one box.
But keep noise low.
have multiple base stations instead of 1 very noisy and throwing signals very long. It means u r actually creating noise for that much longer radius.
we make 433 with this setup, but using sr5 not xr. Its possible to do. and you don’t need anything to power. We make io cards to this, make it possible to power even another unit of 433 and 3 SR. no problem with a standard power.
We made an io card to old 532’s to get power enough to the mini pci expansion cards, who was an issue back then (also today on 800’s with expansion cards)
SR2 is a really BAD card. if possible try to use XR2. Today 7xx (or 9xx) with bultin 2,4 ghz is the best solution. You also get 2X mimo to this.
I have some (I think about 700 pieces) of old NMP 8602’s (pluss and etsi) . This cards are 5 times better than the SR2. (still old and ugly)
thanks for your answers
