WDS (Wireless Distribution System) allows packets to pass from one wireless AP (Access Point) to another.

how can i make it?

Hello Sergejs,

WDS example is available in wireless documentation,
another example is here,
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Transparently_Bridge_two_Networks

MT1 and MT2
MT1 = Ap brige + wds MT2 Ap brige +wds
is this right,
i m currently running wds clients and i have my WDS brige but i m asking about the WDS AP-to AP connection

Yes, WDS allow to connect AP to another AP, see previous posts.

APs must use the same standard (802.11a, 802.11b or 802.11g) and work on the same frequencies in order to connect to each other.

Anyone try to do the same but with a Proxim AP4000 in a side?

Like this…

clients–(AP2.4G)-[RB532]-(WDS5G)-----{}----(WDS5G)-[AP4000]-(AP2.4G)

Remote tower RB532 with SR2 like AP and SR5 in WDS
Local tower AP4000 with 2.4G like AP and 5Ghz in WDS and linked by ethernet with a PC-Mikrotik…

Thanks!
Alessio
