AP-WDS with Virtual AP

I am in the process of setting up 2 Basebox2s with both as AP-WDS, however I was wondering if I could create a virtual AP on each Basebox2 to serve the clients? The reason I want to do this so that the client knows what AP they are connecting to.

You can. But make sure you give different mac address to it.

I tested this last night and it worked great… I did not give it a different MAC address, what is the purpose of giving the virtual AP a different MAC address?

Just my experience from the past that having few virtual APs with wds link didn’t work correctly until I set different mac addresses.
