I’m not sure if this is the place to be asking. I have applied a MAC ACL to our dell managed switch. Everything in the ACL works except for the router LAN interface (in turn the internet) and from what I can tell it is configured correctly. Does anyone know if there is a specific MAC (or certain way) that needs to be configured for this type of filtering?
For example the router interface MAC’s are: ..**.XX.XX. X’s are different on every interface so in the ACL I use: “permit ..**** 0000.0000.1111 any” This means that it ignores the ones and filters based on the first part, which in turn blankets every interface.
Any insight would be great!
