AR5211 5km link problem with packet loss

Hello mates , first excuse me for my bad English.
I`m from Bulgaria.

I have the fallowing configuration.

Point1. 1000Mhz pentium/128MB RAM + AR5211. Microtic v2.8.21
The AR5211 is set as a AP Bridge
Band is 5Ghz-turbo
Frequency 5300
Ack Time 39 us

Transmit power:Off
Noise floor treshhold:Off
Burs Time:Off

All data rates : ON
No encryption enabled.

Point 2: 933Mhz Celeron /256MB RAM + AR5211. Microtic v2.7.14
The AR5211is set as a “station”
band is 5Ghz - Turbo
Frequency 5220
Ack Time 39 us
All data rates : ON

Signal strength is 25-26
The Tx/RX rate is 54/54Mbps.
Bandwidth test gives 24Mbps (13/11) aprox…


THE PROBLEM:
When traffic goes to serten level, around 15Mbps the great packet losses begin to apear. The link start to loose aproximatly 5-10% packets…

Anyone have some clue?

what are signal strenghts ?, CCQ ?, LOS ? etc..

  • Update mikrotik versions to .17 or better
  • set ACK to dynamic
  • use WDS if thats an option.

try some settings wich best fit your config, else put up some more details about the connecton.

  2. Use ar5004,5006 cards

and you will end up with working setup.
