Arabic Language in Device Labels

I had a problem since I started using the dude (v. 1 , 2, till 3.4) which is the Arabic Language in device names.

I can see that from the device properties, and the popup device status that the Arabic name shows correctly, but in the device label in the map, RTL (Right To Left) feature of Arabic language is not there, only the separate letters.

I think it would be easy if you handle fonts natively from the windows.

Note: I have added an Arabic font and used it for the device appearance, and no difference.

usually this is fixed by selecting a different font in the appearance configuration. worked for russian, should work for arabic too

Sorry Normis, It didn’t work!

I have added many Arabic fonts and selected them for device appearance, but still the same.

There are two major unique features in Arabic language you have to handle (if you didn’t leave that to the OS):
1- It is from Right to Left.
2- Shape of the letter depends on what comes before and after it. The letter might need to be (connected to letter before/after or neither)

Anyway, I can see that Dude has no problem displaying Arabic words everywhere except on the maps.

I hope this is handled in the next version!
