Hi, I hope someone can help me with my problem. Yesterday, by using the app Fing, I discovered that a friendly neighbor was using my wireless. When trying to shut this connection down what I got was all my devices unable to connect to my net (even using thernet)
I explain what I did in order to try to explain my possible mistake. When trying to look for a way to avoid my neighbor to access my wireless, I see on two different websites, that a possible solution would be to access to ARP, make my IP’s static and after that, go to Interfaces and entering on my vlan, to change from ARP enabled to ARP reply-only. I did it, but after following all these steps, I have no connection at all. I think my problem could be when making my IPs static. On the site I saw this info, they said that when making static the IPs, it would disappear the D (dynamic) that was at the left of IP on the ARP list. But I didn’t get and empty space, what I got was a I (invalid) on all my ARP listed (see attached pic).
At least my neighbor cannot access anymore, but I’d like to fix my problem with all my verified devices. An easy solution would be make dynamic the ARP (I don’t know how to do it), change on Interfaces to ARP enabled, and I think it would return to my initial position. This solution wouldn’t avoid my problem with the neighbor. What I’d like would be to make what I tried better, what should I do to fix my problem with my connections and don’t allow my neighbor to access my wireless.
Thanks in advance for your help, I have tried to look for the solution on the Mikrotik different options unsuccessful.
