assign IP to bridge or ethernet

Hello everybody!

What are the advantages and disadvantages of assigning IP addresses to bridge interfaces instead of physical ethernet interfaces?
For example does it make sense to create WAN bridge with one ether1 port and assign it an IP address?
Is there a difference in performance (i have CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ router)?
What are best practices of assigning IP to interfaces?

Why you need to complicate your life man?!
Bridge is a concept of connecting 2 or more interfaces in a Virtual Switch, so when you don’t need it don’t use it!

Thank You for answer. Because it gives me flexibility. This way I don’t bind the IP address to the physical interface.
