assoc timeout

Hi,
I’ve this result in log:

wireless, info wlan1: failed to connect to 00:01:B4:02:0B:1E, assoc timeout

the link is: 2 RB532 with 2 SR5 whit same parabolic dish at -79dBm a 14Km configured AP bridge - station
where is the problem?
many thanks.

I am having a similar problem. I have 2 SR5’s that are as follows. I SR5 is set up as “Bridge” the other is set up as “Station” and they refuse to connect. I am runinng another bridge with CM9’s and all works fine. What is weird is that if I put the “Station” unit in Align mode it comes back with all the correct information and a signal of -58. But when I put it in “Scan” mode it doesnt see anything. I am running 2.8.26 with another mfg board. Any Ideas?

Hi,
I’ve made the same way!
First, ap-bridge and station work perfectly
Next, I’ve try to align the two parabolic dish with RB Alingment-only utility, after this I put one RB in ap-bridge and the second in station mode.
At this time I received assoc timeout error, but if I scan from station I can see other side, signal, ssid and many more. Connect don’t work!
SR5 have a e2prom, RouterOS manage or modify this e2prom?
Guru, any idea?

Regards

Mine was a little different. It was the Freq range that I had used. But, when I did get it up and running I did have a time-out issue. This was because of the route settings that I had set. I had two gateway’s, I think, set up. I got that resolve and all things are working now.

I solve this problem simple changing frequency at both RB then apply…
“connect to ess” finally appear…
New problem is speed too slow at 5G with SR5.
2.9rc6 in both side work great, I upgrade with rc10 and Bandwidth Test return TCP & UDP send very slow bandwidth (43kbps).
Receive mode return 1,5Mbps.
With 2.9rc6 I’ve 6Mpbs in send & receive mode.

Regards..

Look’s like we had the same problem,Freq’s. Need more info as to distance of P2P and type of antenna’s. It could also be interference. I have my link up and running at <18 miles and a signal of -58 to -62 and showing a 54meg connection. I havent tried to test it , but it looks good.
