I understand that the narrow channel mode only operates properly with the AR5114 chipset. Most cards now have th 5004X (5213) chipset and I have been told that this transmits corectly but the receiver stays at 20 MHz wide. Comments?

what is AR5114 chipset? and where did you hear such shings? i think CM9 worked with narrow channels…
I talked to Eje about this last week and he told me this. But I’m not 100% on the cards chipset. I think it is the new soon to be released Atheros chipsets and not the old ones.
I have tested both 10 and 5mhz connections with the SR5 (5413 I think) and it worked fine on the bench.. I have deployed a link set up at 10mhz BW and just have to finnish tuning the antennas. It is a 21km got a link at -88 with out tuning seemed to be fine, but the dishes are now coated in ice and I have lost my link. The units would not be able to talk if only one side was on the narrower bandwidth.
