ATL 5G R16 MOCN issue in UK

Hi all,

I’ve recently purchased an ATL 5G R16 to use on the Three UK network and I’m seeing what looks like a bug/compatibility issue.

Background:
In the UK, Vodafone and Three are sharing infrastructure via MOCN, with 5G running in NSA mode.

Issue:

  • When using a Three SIM, if the ATL connects to a Vodafone mast with 5G available, it will connect (showing 4G/5G) for 5 seconds and then drop. I can see it’s connected to a Vodafone enb and 5G cell.

  • It then repeatedly reconnects to the same (or another Vodafone) mast and drops again.

What works fine:

  • If I position the ATL to connect to a native Three mast → stable connection with good 5G speeds (connected to Three enb and 5G cell).

  • If I disable 5G (leaving 4G enabled) → stable connection on Vodafone masts.

Troubleshooting done:

  • Tested the same Three SIM in a mobile phone → stable 4G/5G connection on Vodafone masts.

  • This suggests the SIM and local network/masts are not the issue.

It looks like a problem specifically with 5G + MOCN handling on the ATL.

Has anyone else experienced this, or found a workaround? Modem is on firmware version RG520FEUEAR03A06M4GX_01.300.01.300 and RouterOS is 7.23rc1 (testing). I’ve tried many different RouterOS versions with the same fault.

Thanks in advance.
