Ok, so I logged on this morning, checked the logs and was greeted by a rather charming sight… someone has been trying to brute force into my router. Any idea how to prevent this from happening?
- Change Winbox port;
- Setup firewall to filter unwanted requests;
- Disable Winbox service.
4-) spesify which ip addresses can use winbox.
You should also contact the IP provider and let them know that someone using their IP address is committing a crime. Usually they will work with you to remove this problem.
