I have an Audience that was running 7.12.1 and the wifiwave2 package. I had top do a reset tonight so I can config this router and send it to family to get an internet connection up and running.
I have noticed that quickset no longer configures the router. Instead of the usual set of firewall rules I get 4 simple rules, no CAPsMAN config for the radios, the wifi settings you put in quickset don’t even get deployed. I assume this is all because I have the wifiwave2 packages installed.
Not sure what to do now. I would at least like a default set of firewall rules.
I think so as well. When wifiwave2 package is installed on audience, it allways boots with eror message about an error in configuration script. While it seems to be benign after device is fully configured, it might upset quickset to the point where quickset fails to configure device.
BTW, I installed 7.13beta on my hAP ac2 (I don’t recommend to do it without a good reason although it works fine for me) and replaced wireless with wifi-qcom-ac. I don’t seem to remember seeing such an error message there, so the error message is either specific to audience (I doubt it) or they managed to fix it in 7.13 (or it’s still there but I missed it completely). I’m not going to install 7.13beta to my audience just to see if it’s gone, 7.12.1 runs jolly good on it.
