Hey everyone, I’m currently running a pair of HAP ac in single AP modes with separate channels. Everything is pretty good but i’m having throughput issues with Image and Video work. The NAS is running NVMe running about 2Gbps but trying to get close to that with wireless has been a challenge. Desktop work has been great using 10Gbps NICs. From my testing with the HAP ac the bottleneck has been CPU. Since the performance issues are from a single device at a time; adding more APs wouldn’t help. One of the Test Devices is a 2x2 laptop which should get close to 1Gbps but not with the HAP ac. Getting either of these would allow for 4x4; this might help too but would need to find a laptop to test with that uses 4x4.
Option to use RB4011 questions
In looking at block diagrams will the bottleneck for the RB4011 be the PCIe 1x at 1Gbps?
The port speeds won’t be an issue since i’ll use the SFP+ port for 10gb to the switch
CPU ram is quite abit more powerful then the audience which might help performance?

This block diagram shows everything on chip so i’m not sure if there is any issues with throughput onboard.
Port Speed might be an issue with using single 1Gbps port, Can you trunk these ports to get closer to 2Gbps (I’ve heard this normally causes issues trying to use get more throughput with trunking)
Any thoughts or performance tests?
