For the RB5009 it was suggested that the qcom package was memory intensive and the package/driver change should be done via netinstall. Would this also apply to the Audience AP.
I changed mine over shortly after I got it. I don’t remember any drama, but my usage is pretty basic home use. I have all three radios running an SSID with a couple of different “guest” networks for specific things.
Execute the usual "check for updates" as you would do for ROS update. It also refreshes the package list. You'll the see all other packages - inactive - as well. Uninstall wireless, install wifi-qcom-ac and confirm reboot. Be aware, your wireless config is not migrated. You need to configure wifi from scratch.
Thanks to all who replied. After stumbling around for a few hours I accidentally followed infabo’s instructions and got wifi working with wifi-qcom-ac.
