Bridge-Port has an auto isolate toggle. What does it do that Split horizon or STP/RSTP not do?
I have been searching for the answer to this question also. Every “how to” I find on setting up Split Horizon says to enable “auto isolation”. Also everything I find is pre 6.4 and now the “auto isolate” has been moved to a new tab “STP” that did not exist previously. Is the the function of Auto Isolate still the same ? What is it’s function exactly (under what conditions might I want to use it) ? And do I still need to enable it for Split Horizon to function properly ?
