Auto Negotiation Bug into v1.9 (RB260GS)

Hi,
I try to setup forced port to:

  • Auto Negotiation: off
  • Speed: 1000
  • Full Duplex: on
  • Flow Control: off

Attached picture 1 - ports 2,3,4,5.

After change page and return to “Link Tab” page - Full Duplex is off again (unchecked). Picture 2 - port 2.

And after that - all my tries to link another switch with forced port to 1000Gbps FD is unsuccessful (ports 2-5). I lose connection to RB260GS.

After several minutes, i return to “Link Tab” page and another port is lost mark.

Officially autonegotiation is a requirement for gigabit. You should always leave autonegotiation on for gigabit connections.

Also not working for 10 and 100Mbps.

I can confirm this problem - I need to set a port to 100/full manually, but the switch configures it as 100/half. If I refresh the page with link settings the checkmark before “full duplex” disappears. I need to be able to manually force 100/full, how do I do that?

Make sure the other end is forced to 100FD as well. If one end is forced 100FD and the other has auto-negotiation enabled then the result is 100FD <—> 100HD.

I actually received a ‘test 1.10 release’ from MT Support, which solved the check-mark-not-staying-in problem, but 100HD/FD issue seems to remain. I already tried what you suggested - the remote end forced to 100Full results in excessive interface errors (transfer speeds fall to around 10mbps). If I use a RouterOS router instead the switch (I had old 473 laying around), connection runs properly at 100full as configured on both ends with no errors.
