automatically turn OFF and On RouterOS installed Dell desktop

Hi,
I am using RouterOS installed Dell desktop as a router and it is working well. I would like the computer to automatically turn off at 22 o’clock at night and to automatically turn on 6 o’clock in the morning. This is to avoid overheating and to give the computer a break at night because no one is using the internet during this time.
Is there a code that can help do this task in the OS?
Or is it possible to do it in the computer BIOS ?

Thank you.

You can schedule a shutdown from ROS, see System > Scheduler.

Regarding power on, that will depend on the Dell BIOS supporting it. You didn’t mention the _Dell computer model so cannot say, but recall seeing it on most Dell Desktop bioses.

That being said, if overheating or power draw is a concern, using an x86 for the task is the less desirable option.

Don’t know which is that router specific duty (network size, internet uplink bandwidth, if doing QoS or not, Firewall complexity, etc), but is it very possible a humble 750Gr3 can do the same task for tenths of the power consumption of any desktop.
