MikroTik hasn’t had any boards with Mini PCI slots listed on the Hardware section of MikroTik.com for quite some time. We use the Ubiquiti XR9 radio cards on Routerboards for NLOS wireless, and they are Mini PCI. We used mostly the RB433 and RB411 series. Has MikroTik completely discontinued Mini PCI slots? It also appears that they discontinued the Metal 9SHPN. Does anyone have a recommendation for using 900 MHz with current MikroTik hardware?

Your best bet is to get these radios while they are still available, even if from ebay or 2nd hand sources… because soon there will be none left.
Same for RB with minipci slots, they will be all EOLed sooner or later (probably sooner), but good thing here is you can find them really cheap used, as most WISPs are just upgrading to better equipment. You can find real bargains, like $5 for originally quite expensive RB600 etc. RB411 are often selling for $1…
Sadly there is no replacement on the way from Mikrotik, nothing for 900MHz band was announced lately and as it’s quite a specialty, I don’t expect it will be, Mikrotik seems to have moved to other markets.
We do have more than 50 units of RB411 boards and have lots of wireless cards which are used,but reset and tested, if you are interested in buying any of those, let me know.
