AVG antivirus try to login to my router

i have win 10 PC and avg antivirus when i run smart scan the antivirus try to login to my router xmmmm is that normal??
i run the avg test many times and always try to login via telnet & ftp

I don’t have experience with the PC version of AVG/Avast (merged since 2016), but on mobile “smart scan” checks security issues in the network. Telnet and FTP transport password in plaintext as at the time of their development security was not in focus, so having them enabled on the router is a security hole as it is relatively easy to intercept network traffic and learn the admin password to the router. And you cannot test whether a service is active on a server unless you attempt to connect to it.
