B/W of the wireless link

which wireless RB gives the highest bandwidth ? is it possible to go over 100 Mbps ?

Ammar

Your bandwidth isn’t necessarily linked with the size of the routerboard. The RB you choose depends on the amount of work the unit has to do. Is it just a point to point link? or multipoint? running any special routing protocols, running pppoe clients?

Your bandwidth would be governed by which radio freq you choose, your radio cards, the antanni’s, the quality of your installation, and then you have to deal with radio path and distance.

You would get a better answer if you asked: “What would you recommend for a 3 mile line of site link, mostly farmland, in Virginia, to obtain 100meg of bandwidth”.

This way we know what country your in, because that depends on the freq that are available to your area, and we can make a recommended antenna’s.

it’s less than 5 miles line of site in Iraq, p2p link with nothing special, mostly all are buildings, both 2.4 and 5Ghz are available.

is it possible to obtain 200Mbps ?

Ammar

Your not going to do 200Meg on 2.4 but you may get it out of 5.8 or close to it.

I would use an RB433AH on each side with:

Ubiquiti XR5 miniPCI Card

RFelements 5.8GHz 27dBi Dish Antenna

Keep your coax between your xr5 card and the Antenna as short as possible (I use the 3ft pre-built cables)

Your not going to get close with 5GHz unless it is N.
try the R5Hn, R52Hn, or XR71
