We are currently testing the RBMetal2SHPn in our system configured as AP with RouterOS 6.42.5. We noticed that doing a site survey even with Background scan activated will cause the packets to be delayed reducing the stream capability.
As a fix we created a virtual wlan to be able to retrieve RSSI from the wireless network we want to keep data from.
- Is there any way of doing a wireless scan in the background without interfering with packets, ping times and overall jitter?
- /interface wireless scan wlan1 background=yes passive=yes what does passive exactly do? There is no information in the Wiki https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Interface/Wireless#Scan
