Backup file contains scripts that are no longer present on the device.

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know why my backup files seem to contain old scripts from my device that I have since removed?

It also seems to contain old passwords for ‘/tools email’ that are no longer in use/been changed.

I think that backup takes configuration as binary files saved on disk. And who knows that the exact format is and how system handles deleted items. It’s possible (just a guess) that they are only marked as deleted, but not wiped out completely.

Thanks Sob - I think that sounds likely, hopefully over time as the flash gets filled up it’ll get overwritten.
