Backup rb750 r2 -> Restore rb750 g r2 : leads to reverse port order

Hello together,

after migrating configuration using backup / restore to a gibiabit version of RB750 eveything is fine, except for on e thing for which i have no explanation at all:

The five ports are available in wrong order. Port 1 on RB750 is now located on Port 5 on RB750G, Port 5 on RB750 is now located on Port 1 on RB750G, and so on.

My first though was, that the ports have been mixed up somehow during backup/restore, but interface print which also includes the internal port number (#) shows the identical numbering on both routers.

[admin@MikroTik] /interface> print
Flags: D - dynamic, X - disabled, R - running, S - slave

NAME TYPE ACTUAL-MTU L2MTU MAX-L2MTU

0 RS e1_ut_dtag_router ether 1500 1598 4074
1 R e2_t_vlan_master ether 1500 1598 4074
2 RS e3_t_wlan_ap ether 1500 1598 4074
3 RS e4_t_office_switch ether 1500 1598 4074
4 RS e5_ut_v_81 ether 1500 1598 4074
5 R v_80_dtag vlan 1500 1594
6 R v_81_privat vlan 1500 1594
7 R v_82_guest vlan 1500 1594

I really don’t understand whats happened here.

For a listing of original configuration see http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/questions-to-cascaded-rooter-scenario-with-additional-vlan-switching/97511/1 (my last post contains export file)

Some ideas what is the reason for this behaviour ?

How can i put it back to old order ?

Regards

Remember that a backup and restore is intended to be used for the same hardware. For copying config to a new device, you should use export, and then the resulting script to configure the new device. You may want to review the Wiki for details on that too.
