Bandwidth issue with Cable TV Boxes - Help?

Hi,

I was wondering if you guys might be able to help me diagnose an issue I’m having with my network

The computers on my network don’t have any problems sustaining 30mbit on the Internet easily. It is my Foxtel Cable TV boxes that are having problems.
My Foxtel IQHD Cable TV Boxes are struggling to get above even 1mbit over the internet, I’ve checked the cable and the switch, no issue there.

I tried an old netgear router I had lying around, testing this I managed to get 16mbits from the Cable box.

I can obly assume then that the issue must be with my RouterOS config. But I need some help as to how to diagnose where the problem is.

can i any help with this?

My hardware:

951G-2HnD

RouterOS v6.29.1

here is a couple of snapshots of the settings and results on the cable box

bump.

Check the negotiated port speed. Maybe it is just 10mbitsHD instead 100MbitsFD. If so, check the cables, connectors, port settings.

thats under interfaces right?

it’s connected to ether5-slave-local, all the advertising boxes are ticked, it also says rate is 1Gbps full duplex is ticked

Is it the same on both sides? Maybe bad queues are set on interfaces. What says profiler when maxing the throughput?

I’m not sure what you mean,

Maybe bad queues are set on interfaces. What says profiler when maxing the throughput?

All the interfaces except wlan1 have only-hardware-queue as their setting, wlan1 has wireless-default.

how do i max the throughput?

I’ve started a download on the foxtel but the idle process is still around 98-99%

Try ethernet default instead hardware only queue for ethernet ports. It may help.

The cable has two ends. Both ends should report the same negotiated mode. You can try to set fixed modes on both ends the same.

I’ve got other devices on that switch that are negotiating 1gbps, should I change it anyway?

also, whats the difference with the queue types?

p.s here is my .config if it can help (wifi password replaced with XXXXXXXX)
