Bandwidth per port...

Hello,

I have installed a MT as router in my home network. I have configured it and everything works.

I was wondering if I can monitor the single port and limit the bandwidth.

For example:
Port 1=WAN (no limits here)
Port 2=WIFI
Port 3=Wired network
Port 4=Xbox
Port 5=PC1

Right now I only see traffic on Port 2 because I have only one network and ports 3,4,5 are in slave mode. Ideally I would cap the WIFI bandwidth to 256k/128k.

Thanks!

You must create queue, read the wiki and search on this forum, there are hundred of examples

Thanks for the reply. I have read about queues.

Since queues do not allow “port” bandwidth do I need to create separate networks for the MT ports?

If you use 6.15 can set port, is like you have old 5.x version…

Great, it worked. Thanks for the help!

Oops I’ve spoken too soon. Although I have created a queue for that port I can clearly see the port exceeding the bandwidth I have configured.

Anyone has idea what I’m doing wrong?

Thanks!
