Hello guys,
i just need some help about my situation:
i have a 1\1 gbps connecton that arrives in my provider router.
i attached this router to my mikrotik via lan cable and disabled dhcp on the provider router
in my HEX S i’m getting internet from 192.168.1.1 (isp router) and givin dhcp and other stuff to my home network.
I TRIED EVEN OTHER MIKROTIK BUT THE RESULT IS ALWAYS THE SAME not fully bandwidht internet connection
i have QOS with CAKE \ fq codel and bandwidth limits that are working only with fasttrack disabled.
The problem is that if i turn off fasttrack my connection speed drop from 1gbps to 350\400 mbps.
everything works like a charm and with cake the ping is always stable even with the connection (that became 350\400mbps) fully loaded
how to fix this issue?
The HEX is not capable of accommodating a 1gig ISP connection.
Suggest you look at the hapax3 ( wifi router ) or RB5009 router.
Check the specs → TEST Results for 512 bytes packet size and 25 filter rules for real world results Mbps.
I assume this is the routing case , even with some NAT rules, and filter rules. And queues.
Rules can cause heavy CPU load and delays, such as marking all packets.
For mangle rules, marking connections, then marking the packets based on those connection marks, is an efficient way.
