I published a few days ago a topic about bandwidth falling in my network ( http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/bandwidth-dropping-abruptly/10639/1 )
Since then, I found GWISAs posts very helpful to understand what could be happening (see these posts: http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/mesh-configuration/9558/1 and http://forum.mikrotik.com//viewtopic.php?t=10197 ) and also one related to the ‘friendly’ backoff function of the CDMA protocol (http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/multiple-frequencies-and-bad-performances/6453/12 )
So I followed every advice, updated to the latest RouterOS version, split SSIDs, changed frequencies, separated antennas, change WDS to static, ensured there’s no client connecting/disconnecting… but it’s still happening! Every once in a while, I simply notice data is not flowing. Wait a few seconds, and we’re on again…
If I run a bandwidth test, I can follow the graphical interface moving smoothly indicating data transfer, and then it stops… I see bandwidth falling a few milliseconds, and then data transfer is back and bandwidth begins to recover.
It’s not a problem with my Internet connection (at least not this time! ), it’s in my network, but I can’t make it work.
If you are interested, I can e-mail you (or post) the scripts I use to configure my MTs.
ANY help will be appreciated!
