Bandwidth Test 6.48

Hi All,

I’m having an issue with bandwidth test failing on cant connect.

I have a CCR Router on 6.48 on a public IP, Authentication and a firewall policy permitting any from the source IP of my remote router

the route router is an SXT running 6.48. it has an LTE SIM and the carrier network issues it a private IP on the LTE interface. i assume they are performing NAT. the public IP the traffic comes from is what i have included in the firewall on the CCR

I am initiating a test from the SXT

/tool bandwidth-test ccrPublicIP user=xxx password=xxx protocol=udp direction=both

This fails

speed test works, but only gives me latency and packet loss. it doesn’t do the upload/download test

Any help apreciated!

For starters , can you btest to 127.0.0.1 ( this is the local loopback IP address ).
Can you ping the remote server you are trying to btest to ?
If you don’t mind me asking , what IP address are you trying to btest to ?

Hello,

Yes I can btest to 127.0.0.1. I can also ping the remote IP I am attempting to Btest to.

I would prefer not to share the remote IP, it’s public

Thanks

Please do not share the public IP, with known that it is public is enough.

You have entered rules on the firewall?

I confirm that locally Btest is working fine.

Regards.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.

Yes to 127.0.0.1 it works, abs firewall at the remote end allows any/any from the source IP

Thanks

Just an update on this.

Connected the SXT LAN interface to a LAN interface on my CCR router and running the bandwidth test works, so there isn’t an issue with the software version or btest itself.

to remind of how the lte looks, the LTE interface gets a private (10.x.x.x) address from the mobile network. the network i assume are doing NAT outbound. can anyone confirm that btest is compatible with NAT?

I’m trying to work out if its the mobile network doing NAT that is causing me a problem, or if they are doing something strange with packets.
