Can someone advise me why bandwidth test in tools can’t connect to VLAN interfaces but can connect to Ether or Wlan interfaces elsewhere on the network!
Interfaces are irrelevant, Bandwidth Test connects to an IP address, BTest Server will listen for connections on all local IP addresses.
I am testing to the VLAN ip address and I get “can’t connect”, Also I can ping and open VLAN IP address’s on Winbox and Dude
There is a TP-Link L2 managed switch between the Mikrotik routers I am trying to bandwidth test!
If you have IP connectivity then most likely a firewall rule blocking BTest
There is no firewall rules used ?
Just to add
(1) No static routing is done for the VLAN’s
(2) Vast majority of VLAN’s for Management are a /30
(3) I am using OSPF for Management routing and the /30 Vlans are OSPF interface network-type=point-to-point, OSPF network /30 added with area=backbone
I can ping each VLAN IP address but when i try to run a bandwidth test from /tools i get “can’t connect”
Is there any method of checking if VLAN packets going into a L2 switch (Ingress ) and out (Egress) are being dropped
