I are using two RB411s do bandwidth test over noisy wireless link.
One is set as AP bridge and the other is set to Station.
In TCP mode, it can get stable rate of about 25Mbps. But in UDP mode, the rate is changing from
a few Mbps to 30Mbps. It is very unstable. So I want to know what’s the difference between these two tests. From my understanding, UDP mode does not need acknowledge. So how the transmitter know the receiver received successfully? Could anybody explain what algorithms are used to perform the two tests.
