Banner ADS on HotSpot

Hi Friends,

I have a question.

I want to add some advertising on my hotspot.

I have tried the advertising on RouterBoard’s proxy but it doesn’t
work like I want.

We don’t have a lot of options to avoid to use an external proxy, and so, to
avoid the payment of bandwith:

  • Use a plug-in for browse (but we have to develop it…)
  • Interrupt the navigation and print a video / gif for some seconds (how can we made it?)
  • Split evey page in 2 frame, on top the banner and down the page request (i’don’t know how).


    Do you have another idea?

Please don’t answer by using a proxy squid external.

RouterOS can’t do any of the mentioned. You will have to use the external proxy anyway :slight_smile:

How this is possible in your opinion? Only whit a squid? It is no possibile to customize / make a script inside of Mikrotik proxy that interrupt user navigation?

In production already. However, as it seems to be “A Hot Topic”, only contact via email. Look at my profile.
And, it is a commercial solution, not bound to MT. Actually being implemented in USA on Open-Mesh equipment, too.
