basebox2 usb modem

Hi there,

I hope this is not too much of a noob question, but before i placed my order i wanted to make sure… Would the space be sufficient in the basebox 2 to fit an external USB LTE modem? Based on the picture it feels a bit tight (maybe 6cms available within the enclosure?). The modem i have is ~9cms (huawei e3372) .

I’m currently torn between getting the wAP-LTE kit, or the basebox 2 with 2x ACOMNIRPSMA antennas and just using my existing LTE modem with it (the wifi antenna gain would be much better on the basebox2, its for outdoors use but would also have to cover some rooms by the wall where it would be mounted).
However, if the existing USB LTE modem does not fit within the basebox2, i’d have to put an R11e-LTE in there, which when all purchased separately is considerably more expensive than the wap lte kit (RBwAPR-2nD&R11e-LTE)..

thanks,
Laszlo

Just to respond to my own question, no, there is not enough space there for a USB modem.
