Basic CAPsMAN configuration with multiple VLANS

Need a little help from a 10,000 foot perspective rather than line by line configuration. Looking for the basics, such as Interfaces, VLANS ,Bridges and Datapaths needed for CAPsMAN to work with 2 SSIDs (1 AP per VLAN 2.4 & 5 GHz) and 1 switch port to share the same VLAN traffic as one of the APs. Current inventory is 1 hAP ax router, 1 SwOS CSS106 switch and 2 cAP ac access points, with the access points attached to the switch.

Look for pcunite post on vlan with ros.

Your hap ax needs to be configured local if the radios also need to be used.
Cap ac, assuming you will use qcom-ac driver, will largely follow instructions as indicated in referenced post since vlan via capsman does not work ( yet) on Ac devices using wave 2 drivers.
So pretty much the same as without capsman for vlan.

Thank you. Not the news I was hoping for, but, it is what is and now to Plan B. Happy New Year to you!

Holvoe, that link is TOTALLY USELESS for those wanting to setup capsman and datapaths and VLANS.

Either make one (user article -as I have requested numerous times or stop suggesting something that doesnt fit…

With current state of vlan and qcom-ac, that link is SPOT ON.

Really, so no datpaths and vlans in capsman, they took it out, how nice!! About time to remove vlans from wifi configs…

The old way: manual setup of vlan.
Just need to make sure to use create enabled in provisioning so the interfaces stay the same.
And then it is normal non- capsnan config for vlan as you would do for a separate AP.

Lots of people moaning and complaining about it but I want to see how many of those AC-capsman configs get a frequent change. I highly doubt it is such a big deal to do this once.

In the early days of wave 2 it was also a problem.
Give it some time.
