I have several boards that are battery/wind powered. Is there a way to use the UPS portion of MT 2.8 to monitor the battery voltage? Maybe a adapter between the batteries and the RS232 port?

Serial ports may not monitor voltage - they only have two discrete levels: 1 (higher than 3V) and 0 (lower than -3V). there is also an undefined level (between -3V and +3V), but that can not be read from an application. The only standard port that can read analog values is Game port, but that port is not supported by routeros and i think only accepts up to 5V.
What I was thinking was that there may be a converter avaliable that would take the battery info and change it to RS232 that MT will use. I see that there is UPS support in 2.8 for ACP. Maybe there a converter that could be used.
I do have a battery monitoring device that does give out a RS232 signal that has some good info in it but Im sure that MT doesnt support it. It is a device that is called a LINK-10. What is the possibility of getting MT to have some type of Solar/Wind battery monitoring in MT? I know that this would be of great help for me. Last winter it was -23 and I had to ride the ATV up on top of a mountian to start a generator to keep the batteries charged when it shut down.
