battlefield2 cannot load any server

hi guys
i dont know for what reason battlefield2 cannot load any server list for connect to even though it can authenticate to the server

any idea is highly appreciated

we have ours around the 1470, but you can lower than 1000 I have seen. I have not needed to go that low to make things works. This is allso a problem with Yahoo & MSN which fixes the problem sometimes.

should lower the mtu on both lan and wan ports? or either one of them?

I have not overly sure on that one, if someone else answer that. :blush:

I have gone for their LAN’s normally but, I have adjusted different interfaces on the fly and stop when it works.

Put a mangle rule on the MT that adjusts MSS. I use:

/ip firewal mangle chain=forward protocol=tcp tcp-flags=syn action=change-mss new-mss=clamp-to-pmtu

You can also specify a fixed number instead of ‘clamp-to-pmtu’. Put your desired MTU in here. Leave the interface values at 1500.

but code seems to have problem, is it suppose to be /ip firewall add chain=forward\

and I couldn’t find change-mss in the action list

another thing is have you ever tried this method for fixing server connection for any games based on gamespy or similar? because I have doubt if its the MTU issue since at least it is authenticating, however the authentication maybe totally different

Sorry. couple of typos slipped in there.

action=change-mss is in 2.9

MTU problems are related to packet size. Authentication could very well be different to in-game packets.

I tried that it didn’t help any, I tried to redue the interface to 1000 and the same again. and I think it wasn’t the packet size…
any other idea?

I play tonight and it was working. But I am on vers.2.9.10 on my home MT.
Did this just start happening or did you upgrade or change a config?

funny thing is it was working and then it stopped, even though the number of servers were low but it was working…

I can’t imagine what could be cause, I dont believe I changed a config that caused this one but maybe something…

no latest bf2 patch if have older not possible to view servers with different
version
if have check only ranken server with older version of the game not possible to find any server

no I dont think thats the issue because after bypassing the MT box we can see more than 1000 servers, which with mt is ZERO
