For power supply i am using adapter with 20v (for my lap-top)
When router boots regularly all leds are lighting and the beep sound is there. After only led6 is on.
Not getting the output on serial console, trying puty and win hiperterm but nothing.
then i tried few times resetting the JP1 jumper ( all leds lighted - seems ok ).
Check the jp5 1-2 pins are connected for for supply on jack 20-56v.
I noticed that when all leds are lighting while booting,1 and 3 are green,2 and 4 red (if matters)
Wireless lan card have one led and it’s off, after powering on processor is heating - seems the board is working but not cooperating .
Console settings are 9600 baud 8 bit 1 stop bit no parity. There is no output on console - blank, just like nothing is connected!
Can anybody help please? i can return the board if it is not working
PS.
Also check the CMOS battery measuring only 0,3v ! (0,5v when is on board powered on!).Is this causing the problem???
I will replace the battery tomorrow and post again!
Just done that but nothing, winbox can’t find its mac address, just blank field.Seems like ports are dead (no light on it)
tried on both ports…And this time i bought original adapter of 48v and replace the cables with new ones.
Does anybody had same problem, please help?
Console port definitely don’t work! But I manage to connect to poe and finally got login promt… (via winbox). The ip address is found (a private one).
Next problem is that i can not reset the ROS! Simply don’t work,I reset the J1 jumper about 15 times (on many ways), but nothing.
Don’t know the pass…
I can not perform netinstall because console is not accessible.
RB200 don’t have software reset feature. Ask your friend login and password or fix serial cable connection or reinstall CF use regular PC and put there new RouterOS and license using IDE to CF adapter.
Thank you on info about Resetting !! I almost lost my nerves trying to do that …
That is what i done, found an old login pass off one friends friend and it worked. Now can nicely configure via telnet … what a relief !
I will work around the serial cable…
