Firstly thanks for a great Forum with some real Experts here !
I have an existing wireless WDS Bridge running fine since eight years with
a throughput of between 100-900 MB per Hour on the 2.4GHZ Band, as
follows in the Drawing.
All Routers are running dd-wrt, Router 1 is at my Home and has one
Yagi for the Bridge and one stubby for local Access, Router 2 is about
1km LoS away and has two Yagi’s with one facing Router 1 and
the other facing Router 3 in diffrent Directions, about 120 deg apart.
Router 3 is at my Office about 1.5km LoS away and also has one Yagi
for the Bridge and one stubby for local access. All three Routers are DHCP
Forwarders to my DHCP Server/Gateway in the Office hardwired to Router
three.
As the 2.GHz is getting pretty clogged and slow, i want to move to the
5Ghz Band and preferably Dual Band at the same time for higher throughput.
I will need the 2.4GHz Band for local Access. at Router 1 and 2 and also
preferably at Router 3.
How would I set this up with which Routerboards, can I use the RB 433AR with
integrated 2.4Ghz and then a R52(H) for the 5Ghz Band, and what would my Aerial setup
look like, especially at Router 2 ?
