Hi,
I have an outdoor zone where now I have installed some wireless AP (ubiquiti picostation M2).
The picostation M2 was in end of life. I have to cover another area (outdoor too) with a wireless and I think that the mikrotik coud be a good solution because it has a very good firmware.
I look for an AP with a omnidirectional antenna.
What mikrotik AP is similar at picostation M2 coverage?
Thanks all.
how about WAP AC.
plus compare to pico…
it is dual band. 2.4 and 5ghz.
it comes in 2 colors black or white
dual chains. i think pico was one.
cap mode. you can setup capsman and control everything from there. that is a BIG PLUS!!!

about picostation…by coming to end of life doesn’t mean it does not work. right?
Thanks freemannnn!
I saw the link.. the AP seems good! It make a lot of things.
I also viewed this Groove https://i.mt.lv/routerboard/files/groove-171002140409.pdf
Between the WAP AC and the GROOVE, I red the specifications but they for me are much similar…
What is the best for you? I will put these APs in a external area with 3 or 4 point AP.

Yes, i wrote that the pico are coming in end of life for say that if I have to buy a spare part, I will not find it anymore. Now I have many building cover with many AP pico and they work very wella, and know that the pico are in end of life, I would try an alternative like mikrotik that is more flexible.
There is a Groove AC model https://mikrotik.com/product/RBGrooveGA-52HPacn
Only downside is it only has one chain and not dual-band (it can do 2.4 and 5 but not at the same time).
But you can use any antenna you want to which is a bonus.
Your choice in the end.
