I need to come up with a decent cache solution for my network since I’m running a RB2011UAS-2HnD with very limited resources. Even if I add a 32GB flash drive I’m capped by the RAM.
My question is, is there a way I can add another system and use that system as a cache for this?
What are you looking to cache? If you’re looking for something like a web cache/proxy, wouldn’t a standalone squid (or similar) installation work?
That is what I’m looking for, but how would I go about setting squid in transparent mode?
