Best Gaming VPN Setup Help...

Dear Mikrotik
I am running a 2.4GHz B network with 3 RB433 AP’s and about 30 clients all on RB411’s. Each RB433’s wireless is bridged (wlan bridge) and ethernets are bridged (ether bridge) with 1 IP respectively on each board. (eg. 192.168.10.1/24 ether bridge and 192.168.11.1/24 wlan bridge). Everybody with 411’s are connecting with 11.x/24 the one the AP, and their has their own ethernet IPs (double checked - no conflicts). OSPF on all 433s with no mascarades. Router OS ver4.2

Our network is 100% functioning and our internet is 100% routed to all 411’s. Our throughput is tremendous and ping speeds all below 10ms.

The question I really would like to pose, and if someone could please advise me is this:

  1. Can I create a seperate VPN for the gamers on this network?
  2. If so, what protocols and settings need to be done in order for it to work correctly?

I have set up a PPPoE server on a RB450 ethernet (ethernet 5 with no bridges) that is linked via a 411 to the main 433 tower. The secrets, profiles and IP pool addresses are all in and working.

Everybody can connect to VPN (through PPPoE dialup on windows create a VPN connection). Everybody shows registered and everybody can ping each other. BUT NO GAME WILL ACCEPT THE VPN CONNECTION TO PLAY. Windows VPN subnet shows 255.255.255.255… Is this the prolem? How can I overcome this?

Is there not an easier way (on mikrotik preferebly - not setting up gaming pc servers) to create a proper VPN network for gaming as a QOS for our clients? I am not worried about internet on the VPN. If the PC’s could see each other in the network neighbours, it would be a plus as well! (I know the workgroup should be the same, etc..)

It would be much appreciated for any respons..

Thank you in davance
Anyone Please??
