Best practice about configure 2,4 and 5 bands as one AP

Hello,

I build wireless AP’s based on Mikrotik RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT with 2,4 and 5 GHz band. I dosn’t have too much expirience with set-up wireless with duble band as AP for clients. I configured this device and users see two SSID (f.e. wlan2 and wlan5) on own computers. The didn’t know which AP they should chose. So I have question about best practice. How I should configured wireless to both band works as one AP.
Can you help me?

It depends on application, but for a general purpose AP, same SSID is set on both wlan interfaces; it is up to the connecting client OS to choose the best band.
