I’m just about to put CAPsMAN into operation with my new AX hardware. So far so good. What is not 100% clear to me in the documentation is how to activate manual channel selection on a larger number of access points in combination with 2Ghz and 5GHz wifi with multiple (at least 3) SSIDs.
Do I have to create a configuration for each channel that I want to use and assign it to each access point individually, e.g. via the MAC address of the Wifi interface, or is there a clever solution that I just don’t see yet? I was thinking, for example, of the name of the access point, so that it contains the channels to be used and the configuration is then controlled via regex. Currently, the name of the AP is only the physical location, not the channel assignment.
Maybe you have some good ideas for me. We are talking about just over 60 APs in the final configuration. Right now I’m a bit scared that it gets really messy with 3 SSIDs, each with a configuration for 2GHz and 5GHz and three channel configurations for 2GHz and four channel configurations for 5GHz…
