Best way to utilize CPU's on CCR1036

Hi,

What will be the best way to utilize CPU’s on a CCR1036, i.e. have 4 VLAN’s coming up to CCR, do I bond 4 x Interfaces together, or will it make better use of CPU’s if I bring up a link for each VLAN into own ether interface?

I understand that the bonding will give me bigger pipe, redundancy, etc, but want to know more specifically around CPU utilization.

To add to the above, this is not for Vlan switching, but routing out to Internet

I would be surprised if there was any preferential mapping between physical Ethernet ports and CPU cores as this would be a bottleneck in cases where an Ethernet port would deal with a high volume of traffic and CPU cores assigned to other ports could not be used to handle that traffic. But it is just an assumption, not knowledge.

Thx sindy, that was my thoughts also, but wanted to confirm.

With what I have seen on this forum and your level of knowledge, I would take your assumption = “a well-informed / educated guess” which is more than good for me
