Beta 2 NStream performance

when I go to the status tab on wlan1, it shows the ACK timeout as 50us, in all previous versions of NStream, it was set to 25us…

I am also seeing high ping times across the link, regardless of frequency or interferance, minumum ping times seem to be 8ms, averageing around 30ms…

has anyone else noticed this?

Dear Fore, are this link on 2.4 or 5 GHz ?

The default running nstreme with 2.4G are 53us ?

High Regards,
Andrei

We did 10-15 tests, compareing regular 802.11g to NStream, and NStream with CSMA Disabled. The results below are typical of nearly all of our tests in regards to the difference in throughput (minus a momentary disconnect I caused in the far right upload test, I never took another decent screen shot showing the effect of CSMA)

This is a brief snap shot showing traffic passing through a Beta2 AP, on 2.4, passing down through the system I took the screen shots of (eliminating any load on the AP caused by having winbox connected)

There are roughly 100 APs visible in scan mode between the AP and the CPE, nearly all of which are on 2437mhz, the same frequency we used for this test. The first 2 tests show the regular NStream performance (using the default setting of CSMA Enabled) The second 2 show the impact of disableing CSMA, with no other changes.

Again as a reminder, the drop on the right was me screwing with things on accident when the test was ran.

With NStream disabled, the throughput was ~300k

while this is good news, here is the bad. Ping times SUCKED, (CSMA had no significant effect on them, on or off), this is what they look like whenever NStream was enabled.
