I’m running BETA 10 and just installed the KIWI Syslog daemon on the same server that Dude is running on. Mikrotik routers and other devices in the network are able to send Syslog messages and traps to KIWI. However, Dude doesn’t send anything. I created a Syslog notification Type, Added the servers IP address (Same as Dudes..local host IP), and clicked the Test button. Nothing happens. KIWI doesn’t receive anything. I rebooted, tried creating another Syslog type notification but nothing. Is there something else that needs to be configure within Dude to make it work? 
maybe you should try address 127.0.0.1.
Yeah, I already tried that. Nothing.
Figured it out. Dude had a default udp port of 512 instead of the standard 514. Didn’t see that before 
Anyway, working fine now.
