BFD and OSPF go well together…OSPF converges rather quickly by itself and BFD can shave the convergence down even further. What are your convergence requirements?

I have a OSPF network, dual ccr1036 at 3 sites. so no vrrp on the MAN network.
when i take down 1 ccr0136 at a site, traffic to that site takes a hit till each opsf neighbour re sync etc etc and it seems to take a while for it to register. rather annoying. was thinking to turn on BFD with ospf to get that node to fail faster.
just seems like a lot of time take when reboot/shutting down 1 node…
