Hi Guys.
My BGP sessions are sending a ton of updates (around 10 a second). Our ISP as advised we need to sort it out. I cannot see why this would be occurring.
Is anyone able to advise what I’d need to check to slow this down?

Get some training in configuring and debugging a network?
What else could we suggest given that you provide absolutely zero information?
I’ve configured these for years, but not done a lot with bgp. the logs dont say anything useful. bgp wise I can just see updates being spammed for no reason. There’s nothing out of the ondinary for this setup, hence the generic question.
I’d use torch+sniffer.
Indeed, use the sniffer to get BGP traffic and see what those updates are and when you know that, find out why updates have to be sent.
(e.g. networks going up/down)
Really without any sniffer-derived details and without any config there is nothing that can be done for people on a forum.
