We have two full routes from two seperate providers coming in via IBGP. Only the routes from one connection are active. How do we make both sets of routes active?
If you’re taking routes from two peers and only seeing one set used, my guess would be that the peer in question is artificially setting the weight of their routes lower. I’ve seen that happen with XO here in the US.
If that’s what’s happening, then you’re screwed, at least with the basic BGP module. There isn’t any way for you to adjust the weight at your end. It might be possible using the route-test module, but somebody else will have to answer that.
ibgp or ebgp ? are they distance of 20 or 200 ?
The route with the lowest as-path should win anyhow. Use a single bgp instance as well.
