BGP injected default route showing as unreachable via pppoe

Hello,

I am using a PPPOE client to terminate an ADSL connection. I have created an EBGP relationship between my Mikrotik and a router at work over this ADSL connection. The neighbor relationship has established just fine. I created a static route on the MT to route the remote neighbor IP out over the pppoe dialler interface and this brought up the neighbor. I am using multi-hop as well.

Once the EBGP neighbor comes up, i see it injected a default route (via a default originate ) command on the router at work which appears in the routing table of the Mikrotik.

I have attached a screenshot of the issue, i can ping the gateway address from the router that its saying is unreachable? When i bring up an EBGP neighbor that is directly connected via a /30 it works fine.

Why is it saying the default route injected by BGP is unreachable? I think its a next hop issue but no idea how to sort it? This works fine on a Cisco router doing it this way!

Any ideas anyone?
